Master of Arts in Education/Professional Studies

The Masters of Arts in Education and Professional Studies degree at Edgewood College provides exceptional versatility. Courses in the program can be counted toward completion of a teaching or administrative license, to fulfill requirements for renewal of an existing license, and can also satisfy goals within the professional development planning process. In addition, participation in the program will also benefit non-teachers. Corporate trainers, supervisors, and executives of private sector businesses and non-profit organizations alike, will learn and practice the leadership skills needed for success in their positions.

The evening and weekend class schedule is perfect for the working professional. The small class size provides you with direct support and guidance from your professors as well as the opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and interact with you classmates. I do not teach in the “typical” environment. I am a clinical instructor for a radiography program which requires me to teach in the classroom and work with students in the clinical/hospital environment. The knowledge I gained from the expert staff and my peers has provided me with new and exciting tools to use with my students in these unique learning environments. I would recommend Edgewood College to anyone working toward a Master’s in Education.

I must admit, I was a little nervous returning to college after 25 years. But, my fears were all but forgotten with exceptional attention and care I received from the professional staff at the Edgewood College School of Graduate and Professional Studies. The transition from real life to academic life has been smooth and enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. I could only hope that other institutions follow the lead of Edgewood with emphasis towards their students needs and requirements.
