Miriam Therese MacGillis is a Dominican sister of Caldwell, New Jersey and co-founder of Genesis Farm, an Earth Literacy Center in northwestern New Jersey. In 2005 she received the Thomas Berry Award, and in 2007 was named among the planet’s top 15 green religious leaders by Grist magazine. Through her workshops and lectures (over 500 of them so far), she helps people to understand and embody this new understanding of what it means to be human.

About the Siena Lecture
Edgewood College’s Annual Siena Lecture is designed to foster, promote, and celebrate Dominican and Catholic intellectual traditions reflected in the scholarship and action of Catherine of Siena. The lectures explore how Catholic principles can inform issues facing contemporary society. Visiting scholars exemplify prophetic leadership, contemplation, scholarship and action.
