Meet Danielle
Thank you very much for the scholarship to Edgewood College. It is deeply appreciated.
Without the financial help you have given me, I would not be able to attend Edgewood
College. Going to Edgewood College and pursuing a career in nursing is a goal of mine,
and thanks to your help I will be able to achieve that goal.
I was born in Middleton, Wisconsin and have lived there for my entire life. I graduated from Middleton High School in June of 2007. I have a brother, Ryan, who is two years older than I and a sister, Leah, who is 13 years old. We adopted Leah from Nanchang, China when she was eleven months old. My father, Ron, has been a Computer Software Programmer for Famous Footwear for several years. He was previously employed by Edgewood College in the Computer Department. My mother, Linda, has a degree in marketing and has worked as a forms analyst for Madison Gas and Electric Company for almost twenty five years. Both my parents graduated from Illinois State University and later moved to the Madison area.
I started dancing when I was three years old. I joined the competition Dance Team when I was seven and traveled around the Midwest with my teammates competing. Dance has always been a passion of mine, and I hope someday soon I can continue my dance career. I have decided to attend Edgewood College because I like that the campus is small, as well as the fact that the class sizes are smaller.
As I mentioned before, my major is nursing. I know it will be a career I’ll enjoy forever. I am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant, and I love the interactions and personal experiences I get while working. I love the idea that everyday will have something new in store; I’ll never know what to expect, and that’s what draws me to nursing.
My goal is to graduate from Edgewood College in the nursing program and get an internship at a Madison area hospital. I am confident that in my future when I am at an interview, Edgewood College will be a respected and highly regarded name. Edgewood College will help me find the perfect career in life.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your generosity and for helping me move a step closer to my dream in life. This means so much to me and I cannot thank you enough.
