Katie Kubale

Short Personal Bio: My name is Katie I am the oldest in my family. I have one younger brother who is a junior in high school. I have taught swimming lessons for about five years and lifeguard on the side. During the summer I am working full time in the Admissions Office giving tours and helping out as much as possible!

What do you love about being a student at Edgewood College
I love that the faculty and students know me and care about me both professionally and personally! Often teachers will stop me in the hallways and ask how I am doing and how my classes are going. I even had a teacher who invited all of his students to his house at the end of the semester for a big grill out! It is clear how much people care at Edgewood!

Favorite class…why
My favorite class was my freshman forum. I got to go out on the boardwalk and get rid of invasive species and hang out with other freshmen. I met one of my best friends through that class. She lives across the hall from me and we hang out constantly!

Advice you would give a prospective student during their college search, based on your experience
I would say that the best thing to do is to ask your tour guides any and all questions you have. They know the campus and can tell you all about what it’s like to live on campus and what the professors are like.
