Clubs & Organizations
As a student, you’ll have a lot of opportunities to get involved in campus life. Currently, there are more than 40 different clubs and organizations on campus. If there is a club you don’t see that you’d like to have on campus, you are welcome to work and create your own as well! 10K Hours Edgewood College Branch
Organization dedicated to accumulating 10,000 hours of community service
among Edgewood College Students.
Achievement in Medicine (AIM)
Pre-Professional student organization for students interested in continuing
education in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and other health related fields.
Association of Latino(a) Students (ALAS)
An organization that represents the Latino population at Edgewood College,
promoting and disseminating characteristics of our cultural and ethnic groups
of origin, and that strives to motivate and encourage students of multicultural
origins at the middle school, high school, and college level, with the ultimate
goal of advancing our academic achievement.
Ambassadors
Students who work with admissions to help promote Edgewood College to incoming students.
Amnesty International
Dedicated to promoting the fair treatment of prisoners of conscience all over the world.
Black Student Union (BSU)
Dedicated to promoting a positive atmosphere to all students of African descent.
Campus Activities Board (CAB)
The Campus Activities Board strives to enhance the educational and social experiences
of the Edgewood College community by providing quality entertainment and opportunities
to develop leadership skills. The group’s mission is two-fold: to offer excellent
entertainment and to create opportunities for students to develop leadership skills.
Chaos
Student organization which sponsors both scholastic and social
activities for students interested in math.
Child Life Association
An organization for students interested in a careers working
to assist families and children during hospitalization.
Circle K
Circle K is the organization that holds the promise of today’s college student becoming
tomorrow’s leader. It exists to meet the personal needs of the individual collegian
through the qualities of leadership, the rewards of service, and the unique spirit of
friendship.
Criminal Justice Association (CJA)
For students interested in criminal justice.
Communication Studies Club (EC3)
A student organization on campus for all Communication Studies majors and
minors in order to develop both professional and peer contacts within the
academic and business realms.
Commuter Student Association
This organization hopes to promote commuter students involvement in the
Edgewood College campus and community by allowing them an avenue from which
to voice their opinions and concerns.
Cultural Studies Group
Edgewood College's Cultural Studies Club is an organization which is designed
to enrich student's understanding of our world's diverse and unique customs and
beliefs. Through community based action, exposure to ethnic foods and traditions
we hope to immerse ourselves with a broader understanding of our globe.
Dominican Young Adults
To enhance the on-campus spiritual environment while promoting the four pillars
of the Dominicans (Study, Preaching, Prayer, and Community). We gather around
these pillars to develop a service-oriented lifestyle and to provide a safe
space for Edgewood students to explore their spirituality.
Edgewood Business Association (EBA) & SIFE
Student Organization for those interested in business topics such as
marketing, ethics, economics and communication.
Edgewood College Accounting Club
Works to support accounting students in their learning inside/ outside of the classroom.
Edgewood College Art Therapy Students (E-Cats)
Edgewood College Art Therapy Students (ECATS) is a professional and social
student organization. Its mission is to provide educational, service, and
creative experiences that support the art therapy academic major and the
community of art therapy students. Each year ECATS sponsors a variety of
programs and events such as presentations by prominent speakers, field trips,
open art studio, movie nights and potluck suppers.
Edgewood Art Club
An opportunity to explore art making and art appreciation in an environment
outside of the classroom.
Edgewood College Debate Society
Created to help students to think critically, analyze information and put it
into your own words, and have confidence in talking in front of others. This
will be done debates with other colleges.
Edgewood College Peace Group
Promoting community, environment, equality, justice, and nonviolence
through social action and educating ourselves and others.
Edgewood College Triathlon Team
The purpose of this group is first dedicated towards the sport of Triathlon
and having fun. It will enable students of all athletic abilities the opportunity
to train, and compete in a variety of races throughout the country.
Edgewood College Dance Team
The team performs at athletic events and helps to increase school spirit.
Edgewood College Democrats
To raise the political dialogue and activity on campus.
Edgewood College Republicans
Provides an open forum for students with conservative/Republican beliefs and/or principles.
Edgewood Review
Edgewood’s Student Art and Literary Magazine
Edgewood Science Society
To create an environment for science students to socialize and learn
about science in a group setting as well as raise awareness of science issues.
Esperanza
Aims to bring hope to the community by servicing those in needs specific emphasis on
the Latino Community, including ESL tutoring at Edgewood and in the school district and
volunteering with the Centro program at Centro Guadalupe.
The French Circle
The purpose of Le Cercle Français is to provide a fun, laid back environment
where people are able to come together and express their interest in French
language and Francophone culture as well as endorse it.
Habitat for Humanity
Service group that assists in building affordable homes for
families who find it difficult to obtain housing.
History Club
An organization offering students the opportunity to engage History Department
faculty and other students in meaningful discussion about a variety of important topics.
International Club
Organization for cross-cultural exchange.
Music Education National Conference Collegiate (MENC)
To gain experience within the field of music education.
On the Edge Newspaper (OTE)
Edgewood College’s award winning student newspaper that is written,
edited, and designed by students.
Peer Educators
Working with students to educate them on sexuality, relationships and unhealthy
relationships, as well as alcohol and drug abuse prevention and emotional and
physical health promotion.
Psychology Club
Student group for those interested in psychology.
Philosophy Discussion Circle
The mission is to promote intellectual analysis and discussion of moral, political,
social, and aesthetic issues critical to today’s college student. It is open to
all students and commits itself to seeking out members that represent a wide
variety of ethnic, cultural, religious, political, and racial backgrounds.
Rotaract
Edgewood College Rotaract is part of a global effort to bring peace
and international understanding to the world.
Residence Hall Association
This is a student organization that works toward positive change in the residence
halls to help create the best possible on-campus living experience for students.
SAFE
An education and advocacy group for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual,
and transgender individuals and their allies.
Sports Marketing Association
Students will get hands-on experience in sports management and marketing through
Collaboration with the School of Business and Athletic departments and other
sports organizations in the community.
Sports Ministry
Organization for student-athletes interested in strengthening their faith.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
Organization for elected student-athletes.
Student Government Association (SGA)
Organization that represents students and promotes activism and
awareness on the Edgewood College campus.
Student Nurses Association (SNA)
Student group for those interested in nursing.
Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA)
Pre-Professional organization for education majors.
Theatre Assembly
A friendly, inviting community where students can feel free to be themselves,
Theatre Assembly provides programming, events, opportunity and community for anyone
interested in theatre, regardless of major.
Theatre Assembly Planning Committee (TAPCO)
The elected planning committee of Theatre Assembly, tapco provides leadership,
organization, inspiration and direction for the theatre assembly as a whole.
The Wood’s Edge
To provide opportunities for social outdoor
activities (e.g. camping, hiking, canoeing, skiing) and to get involved in
environmental issues at a local, state, national, or global level.
