Edgewood College Announces New VP for Advancement

Madison, Wis. (February 6, 2013) – Edgewood College today announced that Marcia Whittington has been named Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Ms. Whittington has more than 20 years of development and fundraising experience, the last 14 within the Greater Madison non-profit community.
“Marcia Whittington brings a high level of energy, a tremendous amount of experience and a passion for our Mission and Values,” President Dan Carey said. “We are thrilled to have her join our team at Edgewood College.”
Ms. Whittington comes to the College from Agrace Hospice Care, where she served as Vice President of Foundation and Holdings. While at Agrace, Ms. Whittington was responsible for raising more than $40 million, including two capital campaigns and nearly $4 million in annual giving. She has also served as CEO of Gilda’s Club, and has worked with both the Meriter Hospital Foundation and the UW Foundation.
