Adult Accelerated Nursing Financial Aid Opportunities

Edgewood College understands that there are concerns about financing your education. We are available to guide you through the process.

How do I apply for financial aid?

Complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for each academic year you will attend. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov

What aid is available for Accelerated Nursing students?

Students in the accelerated nursing program may be eligible for a maximum of $12,500 from the Stafford loan program.  This maximum for post-bach students is set by the federal government.

There are two types of loans within the Stafford loan Program:

  • Subsidized - the federal government pays the interest while the student is in school at least half time. You may receive a maximum of $5500 per academic year based on your eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
  • Unsubsidized - the interest will start to accumulate as soon as the loan is disbursed (received by the school).

Your loan maximums will be based on the information that is required on the FAFSA.  If you are not required include parental information (per FAFSA instructions), your maximum loan amount will be $12,500.  If you are required to include parental information, your loan maximum will be $7500.

Federal, state and institutional grants/scholarships are not available for this program.
