We understand that the 12-month post-baccalaureate nursing program requires students to make a significant financial investment to fund their nursing education. Should you have financial aid questions or would like to schedule a consultation to discuss your financial options, please contact our financial aid specialist for this program: Katie Sprunger at 608-663-2306 or ksprunger@edgewood.edu.
In addition, we would like to alert you to a potential scholarship opportunity. In both 2011 and 2012, the School of Nursing was awarded a $50,000 New Careers in Nursing grant from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation. This grant allowed us to provide five $10,000 scholarships each year. The School of Nursing has requested funding for ten such scholarships to grant to students entering the 2013 Post-Baccalaureate Program. The Robert Woods Johnson Foundation notifies institutions of its grant decisions in late June. If the School of Nursing is again awarded this grant, you may be eligible to receive a $10,000 New Careers in Nursing Scholarship. A component of the selection criteria for these scholarships requires students’ financial information. Therefore, a completed FAFSA must be completed by May 1st for all students hoping to be considered for these scholarships. If the School of Nursing is awarded the grant in June, more information will be provided regarding the application process.
