Bilingual Education

Our communities and schools are being transformed by a continually growing number of bilingual learners. This growing population enriches our community and challenges us to address the unique needs of these students.

Edgewood College is pleased to offer several options for educators interested in advancing their careers in Bilingual Education. Each option gives you the tools necessary to help develop bilingual literacy and to inspire, challenge and make a difference in the lives of thousands of bilingual learners and their families. Some of the courses are available in an online format or in a traditional classroom setting. You can complete a professional development sequence, graduate certificate, license certification, or apply all those courses to the completion of a Master of Education degree with a concentration in Bilingual Education.

TUITION DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE! Current TESOL courses in the School of Education are partially or fully funded by a five-year federal grant from the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA). As a result, we can offer courses in the Bilingual Program at a 58%-72% savings off our regular graduate tuition rate, depending the courses you select. To find out how the OELA grant could benefit you, please contact us and we’ll provide you with the details of your savings.
