The Applied Finance Certificate is designed to provide students with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to work in an area of finance. To earn the certificate students complete at least five of the courses listed below. Some courses are not offered in every semester. You will work with an advisor in the School of Business to create an individualized plan that will complete the certificate. Some courses also have prerequisites.
1. Bus 607 Corporate Finance (Fall, Spring)
Prerequisite: Certificate prerequisites complete or consent of the instructor
2. Bus 703 Intermediate Accounting I (Fall)
Prerequisite: Certificate prerequisites complete or consent of instructor.
3. Bus 704 Intermediate Accounting II (Spring)
Prerequisites: Bus 703.
4. Bus 711 Topics in Corporate Finance (Spring)
Prerequisite: Certificate prerequisites complete and Bus 607.
5. Bus 712 Investments (Spring)
Prerequisite: Certificate prerequisites complete and Bus 607.
6. Bus 713 International Finance (Fall)
Prerequisite: Certificate prerequisites complete and Bus 607.
7. Bus 772 Money and Banking (Fall - even years)
