Management Graduate Certificate

To earn the Management Graduate Certificate students complete at least five of the courses listed below. You can select coursework to focus on a specific management specialty (e.g. Human Resource or Quality Management). Some courses are not offered in every semester. You will work with an advisor in the School of Business to create an individualized plan that will complete the certificate and the focus you select. Some courses also have prerequisites.

   Prerequisite: BUS 603, or consent of the instructor

   Prerequisite: BUS 602, 603, 604, 605, or consent of the instructor
3. BUS 721 Legal Aspects of Employment (Summer)
   Prerequisite: BUS 504 or equivalent, or consent of the instructor
4. BUS 732 Developing Self-Directed Work Teams (Summer)
   Prerequisite: BUS 603, or consent of the instructor
5. BUS 736 Human Resource Management (Spring)
   Prerequisite: BUS 603, or consent of the instructor
6. BUS 738 Entrepreneurship (Fall)
   Prerequisite: BUS 603, or consent of the instructor
7. BUS 739 International Management (Summer)
   Prerequisite: BUS 603, or consent of the instructor
8. BUS 741 Managing the Information Asset (Spring)
   Prerequisite: BUS 602, 603, 604, 605, or consent of the instructor

   Prerequisite: BUS 503, or consent of the instructor

    Prerequisite: BUS 761, or consent of the instructor

The following prerequisites are to be completed before, or simultaneously with, beginning the Management Graduate Certificate Program:

• Computer Skills: Computer proficiency to include basic systems operations, word processing, Excel spreadsheets and database applications, and some experience with Power Point presentation software.
• Mathematics: Proficiency at the level of college algebra is required.
• A business law course

Students needing additional coursework to satisfy prerequisites may take the following courses. Courses you have taken at other institutions may also meet these requirements. Your advisor will review your transcripts to identify which prerequisites you've met.
