Edgewood Announces New Master of Arts
in Sustainability Leadership
New for the 2014-15 school year, Edgewood College is offering a Master of Arts degree in Sustainability Leadership, in addition to its on-going Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate. This is the first face-to-face Master of Arts degree in Sustainability Leadership in the nation and it reflects Edgewood's commitment to innovative, values-driven, and community-focused education. This new Master of Arts builds upon the foundation provided by Edgewood's successful Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate Program, providing additional depth while allowing appropriate flexibility to meet diverse student needs. The cohort-based Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate will remain as a stand-alone option and as the foundational core of the expanded and optional Master of Arts.
The Sustainability Leadership Graduate Program prepares working professionals, career seekers and career changers to drive transformational change for more resilient organizations and communities.
The nine-month, cohort- and project-based Certificate/Master of Arts core program trains students in sustainability and systems thinking, develops their leadership skills and professional networks, and offers them an opportunity for personal and professional transformation. This 12-credit program provides the basis for several other degree options, including a new 33-credit Master of Arts in Sustainability Leadership.
