The School of Business at Edgewood College offers a unique values- and placed-based education. The special relationships we have with our community, and the opportunities those relationships represent for our students, are an important and distinctive feature of our institution.

For undergraduate students, these relationships are the key to our Career Development Program. The Career Development Program fosters opportunities for students to gain the experience and develop the skills necessary to navigate their careers effectively and make meaningful contributions to their organizations and communities. The program integrates academic learning with practical experience, bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace. The School of Business collaborates with local professionals and organizations to create opportunities for students to apply technical knowledge and practice skills in real-world settings.
Sophomore student teams work for an entire semester with local non-profit organizations to define, scope, and execute a project. The projects include activities such as conducting feasibility studies, developing marketing plans, assessing and improving work processes, or organizing events. This
experience working on real projects with real organizations helps prepare students for their internship.

For information about how your organization can get involved, please contact Professor Amy Gannon.
Juniors spend a semester working in an organization in which they are exposed to multiple functional areas, and take ownership of a project. Students
are enrolled in an internship course while they are working. The class assignments are designed to enhance the internship experience and build key career management skills.

For more information about our internship program, please contact Paula O'Malley.
