Brittany S. Ogden has taught business law courses in the RAAD and masters programs at Edgewood College since 2010. She is a shareholder with the law firm of Murphy Desmond S.C., located in Madison. She concentrates her legal practice in business and commercial litigation as well as bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters, and also represents clients in connection with a variety of regulatory investigations and arbitration matters. Attorney Ogden also frequently lectures and publishes articles and State Bar materials concerning the litigation issues faced by business and bankruptcy attorneys. Attorney Ogden obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996, and graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1999. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the State of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. Attorney Ogden has been named a “Rising Star” by Wisconsin Super Lawyers since 2006 and was also awarded the 2010 ATHENA Young Professional Award. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Dane County Bar Association, Law Association for Women, American Bankruptcy Institute, and James E. Doyle American Inns or Court. She also is the past president and serves on the board for MAGNET (a non-profit professional organization).
