Professor McKnight teaches Finance in the Business School. Prior to joining Edgewood College, Dr. McKnight was a Professor of Finance at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland, UK 2004-2007) and Cardiff University (Wales, UK 1999-2004). He has also held visiting appointments in finance at the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong, China) and Systematic College (Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia). Dr. McKnight received his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Bath (United Kingdom), MBA from Northeastern State University, and BSBA in accounting from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville).
Dr. McKnightâ€™s research interests include Market Efficiency, Institutional Biases, and Corporate Governance. His work has been published in leading scholarly journals such as Financial Markets, Institutions, and Instruments; Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting, European Financial Management; and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, with several of these papers featured as the lead article. Dr. McKnight has been the recipient of several research grants from such high profile funding institutions as The Leverhulme Trust and Inquire-Europe. He has served on the board of directors for such journals as European Financial Management and Journal of Management and Governance and is currently working on a new textbook in Corporate Finance and Investments.
