Psalm 51:3-4, 12-13, 18-19. A heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not cast aside.

Have mercy on me, God of faithful love,
Let your endless goodness absorb my offenses.
Transform my weaknesses into strength.
I am well aware of them. Perhaps, too aware.
But I want no more than to do what You would have me do.
For reasons of Your own, You made us all imperfect,
And by that very gift inviting us to reach
Beyond what others are willing to settle for.
The only sacrifice that fulfills Your will
Is to purify my heart of all that is not Your will.
