Micah 7:14-15, 18-20. Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, that dwells apart in a woodland, in the midst of Carmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old; As in the days when you came from the land of Egypt, show us wonderful signs.
| The first
two verses say the most to what we must do as children of God. It’s saying
that all those who are given responsibility to lead are expected to look over
God’s children and lead them into the right path, by teaching them the Word.
The shepherds, who are the leaders God has chosen, must spread the word of God
and let the people realize that God will punish all those who do not follow in
the right path. Still, even with our wrongdoing, God promises to love and forgive us.
When the people left Egypt, God proved the extent of God’s love for people by
feeding them, as they were wandering in the wilderness, where there was no food.
This is very much relevant today because times are getting harder and we must
always remember to trust in God and follow God’s word, because God never gives
us more than we can handle. Somehow God always provides for us… - Xavier Karjohn, Sophomore, Business and Communication Studies |
