Good Friday, April 2
Hebrews 4:14-16; 5:7-9. Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin.
| As
I read through the passage, the word confession stands out. Confession implies
that we are sinners and of this earth. I am reminded that our Lord, our God sent
His Son to earth. Jesus Christ was both God and man and was able to understand our
human nature. Because Jesus died, we live.
On Good Friday, may we think of our faults, things that offend our God and ask God’s forgiveness. No matter how many times we sin, God always forgives us. - Diane Hart Deci, Academic Technology Specialist |
