Jeremiah 20:10-13. Yes, I hear the whisperings of many: “Terror on every side! Denounce! Let us denounce him!” All those who were my friends are on the watch for any misstep of mine. . .But God is with me, like a mighty champion: my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph.
| It has been a
long journey from when I graduated in 1974 and had to make my way in life. Many
good things have happened during the years but many trying things have also
arisen in that time. I have been very blessed during my life time, but as
Jeremiah said in Chapter 20, verse 11: “But God is with me.” God has been
with me during the good times and the trying times. I believe that through the past 35 years that God has seen fit to be with me in many ways. God has blessed me many times over by leading me to my wonderful wife of 30 years, saw fit to lead us to the adoption of our two blessed sons, and led me to this magnificent job at Edgewood College. During the past 30 years of coaching we have met many people who are still in our lives today and we feel very blessed that every person we have met came to us for a reason. I also feel that without God looking over me, I would not have been as successful as I have been. God gave me the ability to coach and I have been grateful every day for this opportunity. Being given a talent does not mean that you rest on that, but you try to improve on that talent; and as long as I am coaching, I have made a commitment to become a better coach every day and to gain as much knowledge as I can. - Tim Alexander, Assistant Athletic Director, Head Men's & Women's Soccer Coach |
