Ezekiel 37:21-28. I will deliver them from all their sins, and cleanse them so that they may be my people and I may be their God.

Old habits die hard. We all know that. Moses learned this in the desert with the Hebrews. After the initial excitement of the escape from Egypt, there was time to ponder the event, to ask questions that the Passover Night left unasked. When Moses disappeared into the cloud, like a teacher leaving a classroom, all kinds of revolts took place.

God is more changeable than the Hebrews were, even than we are. When they built the golden calf, God had determined to rid the world of this ungrateful people, but Moses interceded and God changed the plans. Even when we are unwilling to go to God, God comes to us!
