Psalm 7:2-3, 9-12. My God, in you I take refuge; rescue me; save me from all who pursue me. O God, judge of the nations, grant me justiceā¦

the wake of the earthquake in Haiti, I found myself focusing on the aspects of
protection. Often we go through life, totally forgetting how fragile life really
is. The tragedy in Haiti only reminds us all that life is short and our time on
Earth is limited. We must always thank and praise God for each breath we get
to take and for everything we have. This verse also speaks to me about judgment. Being human, we automatically judge people from other cultures, class, or just any difference we see. We must remember that we were not put here to judge. We cannot. Our minds are too cloudy and we are not able to see what God sees. We must love each person for who they are. More importantly, we must get to know them so we can love them. - Devin Mills, Junior, Psychology |
