Heffernan Lecture: The Racial and Class Politics of Mass Incarceration

Madison, Wis. (April 8, 2014) – Pamela Oliver, Ph.D., will deliver the third annual Sr. Esther Heffernan Distinguished Lecture at Edgewood College “The Racial and Class Politics of Mass Incarceration.”

This special event takes place Monday, April 14, 2014 in Anderson Auditorium. The evening begins with a reception at 7:00 pm, followed by the lecture at 7:30 pm.

Dr. Oliver is the Conway-Bascom Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

This event is free and open to the public. The third annual Sr. Esther Heffernan Distinguished Lecture is co-sponsored by the Criminal Justice Association at Edgewood College, the Department of Social Science in the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Integrative Studies.
