I have truly enjoyed the
Edgewood College experience. Things that I have enjoyed about the Doctoral
Program for Educational Leadership are: • the experienced professors who have been superintendents and bring both their knowledge and their experience into our classes, • classes close to where I live, • going through the program with a cohort of friends and • the many different connections that Edgewood staff have made for us. P.S. The food was great, too! - Tony Pickar D.C. Everest Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator |
Grounded in a strong knowledge base, research is directed at school improvement, and professional practice is assessed in authentic work settings. The Doctor of Education is infused with content mastery, collaborative experience in school district and college level needs, and the ethical foundations of change that benefit teaching and learning.
The program is designed to be completed in nine terms within a three-year time frame. The dissertation is based on applied or action research designed to improve professional practice.
Our courses are offered on evenings and weekends in both Madison and Wausau, and we make use of online resources to accommodate busy schedules. We are currently accepting applications for the new cohort that will begin classes in July.
The Doctor of Education program is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for the superintendent license and is also NCATE accredited.
