Master of Arts in Religious Studies
The Master of Arts in Religious Studies program at Edgewood College is currently in a state of transition. At the current time, we are not accepting new students into the program. We are in the process of redesigning the curriculum for the program and intend to launch the new MA-Religious Studies degree in the Fall of 2014. Check back here for updates.
Rooted deeply in the Dominican tradition, the Edgewood College Graduate Program in Religious Studies provides students from many religious traditions and walks of life an opportunity to discover and develop the gifts, passions and interests that come from deep within and to share these with others.

Journeying through Edgewood College's
Religious Studies program at the graduate level has been quite an adventure for me. My
time in the program has helped me explore in depth areas in the fields of theology,
ministry, scriptures, world religions, and ethics. Through my exploration, my
spiritual life has been pulled and stretched into something new and into what
feels like a more mature faith than before the program. I have been given
knowledge and tools that help me personally, and I now feel confident with
bringing more of my ministry in the world as well. I have appreciated the
time and freedom to explore topics that are close to my heart and I look
forward to watching the Master's program grow even more. - Kasey DeWitt '03 '08 |
Our courses encourage students to focus their study to meet personal goals that can include hospital or prison chaplaincy, spiritual guidance, environmental ethics, journalism or social work and various parish and regional ministries of local faith communities.
Edgewood College students have multiple opportunities to learn from each other and to experience the love and support of a true community. Our students meet between and after classes or for special events throughout the semester. The intellectual exchange and camaraderie have proven to be so important that several alumni continue to meet in study groups long after graduation.
Courses are offered on evenings and weekends to accommodate your busy schedules. Take one, two or three classes. It's up to you! You can begin your studies fall, spring or summer session.
If you are seeking a solid foundation for sharing your gifts in service of God's people and the earth they call home, explore what Edgewood College has to offer.
