Alternative Break Trips

College Ministries' Alternative Break Program provides opportunities for Edgewood College students, faculty, staff, and alumni to engage in the community through study, reflection, and action.

Students explore issues of poverty, affordable housing, education and more. During the 2008-09 academic year, the College offered four trips: Cuernavaca, Mexico, Jackson, Tennessee, David, Kentucky, and Arizona at the U.S. / Mexico border.

Nearly 50 students worked in these four areas, and learned that it can take a lot of hard work to build a just and compassionate world.
