From all my years at Edgewood, I'll never forget: Scoring the first points for the Edgewood Eagles track team in its history.
Favorite Edgewood Class: Human Relations I and II with Nancy Nelson--great professor, and a great class to learn about how to incorporate multiculturalism into your classroom
Favorite Food: peas and banana cream pudding--both of which I could get at Phil's
What's in my CD Player: I have a lot of Guster, Incubus, Pink Floyd, and the Beatles on my iPod.
Favorite Book: I love The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman
Famous Person (living or dead) I'd like to meet: I'd love to meet Bill Bowerman, who coached track and cross country at the University of Oregon and started Nike.
If I had all the time in the world, I'd spend it: I've always said that being in the classroom is the best way I could spend 8 hours a day, but I would like more time for running.
What really gets on my nerves is when: people who have never worked in education make the laws that dictate what educators have to do in this country.
If I could change one thing, I would: cure cancer
Peak experience: running the Boston Marathon after telling my grandmother, before she passed, that I would run it.
Favorite vacation spot: camping in Door County
Person who has had the greatest influence on me: my mother--who has battled cancer and maintained her positive attitude and desire to help others.
