ISBN
The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) provides unique author,
title, and edition identification. The ISBN used to be a 10-digits
number, but as of January 1, 2007, all ISBNs will be converted to a
13-digit number (called ISBN-13). The Edgewood College
Bookstore will be converting our system to the ISBN-13s after June
30, 2006. You may convert your old 10-digit ISBN to the
13-digit by going to this website:
www.isbn.org/converterpub.asp
The ISBN, and most ISBN-13s, can be found on either the copyright page or on the back
cover of a publication. The ISBN must be included to process your textbook adoption.
If you have questions regarding the ISBN or ISBN-13, please contact Trina Fischer at
tfischer@edgewood.edu.
“Buyback Deadline”
Textbook adoption forms not received by this deadline will not be
included on the next buyback list, and therefore will not be purchased
from students on campus at a rate of 50% of current new book price. A
used book wholesaler will be on hand during buyback to offer to
purchase books at a rate of 0% - 30% of current new book price based
on national demand.
“Final Deadline”
Textbook adoption forms not received by this deadline may result in
textbooks not being available on the first day of classes. Books will
be ordered as soon as possible. Please not that the time between semesters is
extremely busy for Bookstore staff, which may significantly delay
textbook orders received after the final deadline.
Submission of textbook adoption forms may be done by
faxing your completed form to (608) 663-2850, by filling out the
paper form and turning it in to the bookstore mailbox, or by filling
out the online Course Material Adoption
Form. Questions regarding the textbook ordering process
may be directed to the Assistant Manager at (608) 663-3208.
