Edgewood Online Textbook Ordering FAQs Red Line

  1. My course isn’t listed. Why is that?
    If a course isn’t listed on Edgewood Online it’s because we have not yet received an order from the instructor for that course. We may receive a book order in the future as we are receiving book orders every day. Check back to see if books have been added for the course.
  2. I want to pay with my financial aid; how do I do that?
    First you must have your account set up with the Business Office. After you have done that, you can purchase your books with your financial aid. On the payment screen, the pull-down menu for accepted credit cards includes an option called "GMC." This is the Student ID/ Financial Aid purchase account. Please note that you will also need to enter an expiration date due to the limitations of the form; as GMC accounts do not expire, you can enter any date in the future.
  3. Edgewood Online indicates that you have used books. Do you really?
    Our online ordering system “talks” to our inventory system periodically throughout the day. As we are also selling textbooks in our store at the same time, the used quantity will not always be accurate online.
  4. What is the difference between “substitute” and “don’t substitute”?
    If you choose to substitute it means that if you order a used copy of a book, we will replace it with a new copy of the textbook if we are out of used copies in stock. You will be charged the new book price if we need to substitute a new copy. If you choose not to substitute and we are out of stock of any used books in your order, we will cancel the order for that specific book. We highly recommend that students choose the substitute option so as to get the textbooks in a timely manner. Additionally, if we substitute a new book for a used book it will change the overall price of your order as it is shown on your confirmation screen.
  5. Where’s the Monroe Street Campus? Where is the Deming Way Campus?
    The Monroe Street Campus is the main campus for the college located at 1000 Edgewood College Drive, just off Monroe Street in Madison. The pickup location on the Monroe Street Campus is at the Edgewood College Bookstore during normal business hours. The Deming Way Campus is located at 1255 Deming Way near the Madison/Middleton border, and near the Greenway Shopping Center. The pickup location on the Deming Way Campus is at the front desk between the hours of 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Fridays.
  6. What about shipping costs?
    You can have your books shipped to your home or office via UPS. When shipping via UPS, they guarantee next-day delivery in Wisconsin for no extra cost. You DO NOT need to indicate next day air or second business day on your order; if you do you will be charged for that service.
  7. Now that I’ve placed my order, when can I expect to pick it up or have it arrive via UPS?
    All orders that are placed online will be processed and shipped, or ready for pick up within 2 business days. So, if you place your order on Monday, it will be ready for pick up at the campus of your choice or will be shipped out by Wednesday. If you have it shipped, it should arrive no later than Thursday in Wisconsin.
