Bookstore Merchandise Return Policy

Unopened and undamaged merchandise, software and electronic products and undamaged clothing with the original tags may be returned or exchanged for a period of 30 days from the original date of purchase when accompanied by an original cash register receipt. Refunds will not be granted without the original cash register receipt or outside of the 30-day return policy.

Defective merchandise may be exchanged for operable, undamaged merchandise for a period of 60 days from the date of purchase when accompanied by the original cash register receipt. Defective software or documentation is the responsibility of the software publisher and will not be exchanged at the Bookstore.

Used computers and computer equipment are sold "as is" and are not returnable. All used computers will have a Windows XP Professional operating system, but no other software. All items have been cleaned and tested for usability and are functional at the time of purchase. If computers or monitors have hardware problems (i.e. they don't turn on) they are exchangeable within one week of purchase, with the original cash register receipt.

Textbooks: See textbook return policy specific to the semester of purchase as distributed at the time of the textbook purchase.

All returns are subject to the discretion of the Bookstore management team and may be denied for any reason.

If you wish to return textbooks or course materials for any reason, and you have the original cash register receipt, you are eligible to do so under the following conditions:

1. 1. If the materials are returned according to the schedule provided to you at the time of purchase and posted in the Bookstore. All textbook sales are final after the respective deadlines.
2. 2. New textbooks must be in the same condition as purchased, i.e. no names, no marks, no highlights, and no scuffed or bent covers.
3. 3. All shrink-wrapped materials, including textbooks, computer software, CDs etc, must be returned with their shrink wrap intact. Once the seal of the shrink wrap has been broken the item can not be returned.
4. 4. Used books bought as used books may also be returned for a full refund within the deadline period.
5. 5. Defective copies of textbooks or course materials are exchangeable for non-defective copies.
