Wireless Connection on Edgewood Campus Red Line

Wireless network connection is available on campus in the Predolin Commons, the Wingra Cafe, the Library, and Regina Cafeteria. The new Deming Way facility also has wireless network connectivity.

While using your computer in wireless areas, if your computer has a wireless network card, your computer will be able to automatically detect Edgewood's network. In some cases, a pop up box indicating you are now connected to the Edgewood Wireless Network, or a box requesting permission to connect to the network, will appear in the lower right hand portion of your screen.

Problems Connecting
If you have difficulty connecting to the wireless network, check the following:

  • Radio Connection: Your radio connection must be turned on. The best indicator that your radio is turned off is the absence of the network connection pop-up in the bottom of your screen, coupled with an absence of network connection. To turn the radio on, simultaneously press the Function Key and the Antennae Key (commonly located above the F8 key on the keyboard).

If you have other connection problems or concerns, please contact the Technology Assistance Center at (608) 663-6900.
