Job Description:

New Graduate Assistant Position

The Cutting-Edge program is seeking graduate students who are enrolled in the School of Education to facilitate inclusion of Cutting-Edge students into the Edgewood Eagles Athletic Department, On-Campus Student Housing, and Academic Supports. This is a unique opportunity for graduate students to learn how to fully implement inclusion across all aspects of a college campus. Graduate students are encouraged to incorporate their experience with course assignments and graduate research. These positions begin in August, 2009 and continue through the 2009-10 school-years.

Scholarships will be awarded. These benefits will be coordinated with your total financial aid package through the Financial Aid Office.

Edgewood College is the first four-year college to offer opportunities for adults with significant disabilities to experience inclusion in college. The goal of the program is to support inclusion in social and educational activities while assisting students in connecting to one another within the college. The willingness and ability to collaborate is very important to be successful in this position.

Days and Times Required:

Days and times will vary (10-30 hours per week) depending on the core area of assigned responsibilities. Scholarships will be prorated based on the number of hours contributed to the program. Positions begin August 18, 2009.
