Position Duties:

Join a dynamic team with a unique approach to health and literacy education for Madison’s low-income population! Our program will introduce basic nutrition and health education to families in a way that is fun, interactive and culturally sensitive. This summer, the program will add an outdoor dimension, being based in a Madison community garden. Participants are largely families with children under age 10.

  • Support program team in the planning and implementation of literacy and health / nutrition education for children ages birth - 10.
  • Help transport and set up the program activities.
  • Work as a team with teachers and volunteers.
  • In addition to the children’s program support, the position may provide general support within all program components: Parent group, family music & movement activity, and the family meal.

Program Schedule:
Wednesdays, June 24 – August 5 from 4-8 PM at 2096 Red Arrow Trail, Madison, 53711
Additional flexible daytime hours available upon request.

Qualifications:

  • Work-study required.
  • Flexibility – ability to support other aspects of the program, as needed.
