Meet Katie
I would like to thank you, the donors, for your generosity in providing
me with the financial assistance for me to attend college.
My name is Katie and I live in Wauwatosa, WI. I graduated from Wauwatosa West High School in 2006, and have attended Edgewood College for a full academic year. I have three sisters and one brother, along with two very supportive parents. My two older sisters graduated from Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI. I enjoy playing the piano which I have been doing since I was eight years old. I also play the cello in the Edgewood Chamber Orchestra. I enjoy the outdoors, so any activities outside are fun! One of the main reasons I chose Edgewood College is because of the size as well as its Catholic tradition. I love Edgewood College being it is a small school in an exciting city.
I am majoring in Business Management and will minor in Spanish. What keeps me at Edgewood College is its sense of community. The Professors here are very understanding and strive to educate each individual. The students and staff are also very compassionate; it’s as if Edgewood College is one big family! I was very involved throughout my first year of school. I joined SIFE, Students in Free Enterprises, which is a Business club. I also volunteered as a Religious Education Teacher. Also at Edgewood, I had an on campus job as a Phonathon Member, or rather, a student caller. In the future, I plan to pursue an internship and graduate with a Business Degree. Somewhere down the road I plan to attend law school, but am unsure where I would like to study.
Edgewood expects students to do well. In attending Edgewood, I hope to graduate with outstanding grades and continue on further down the road with my education. In fulfilling my career, I hope Edgewood can continue to assist me with any difficulties I come across as well as continue to be an enjoyable campus to be a part of.
