Edgewood College Welcomes Autism Advocates behind ‘Wretches and Jabberers’

Tuesday, October 1, 2013,   2:30 pm, Anderson Auditorium

Edgewood College welcomes Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonette, the two men at the center of ‘Wretches and Jabberers,’ a documentary film about two men with autism who embark on a global quest to change attitudes about disability and intelligence.

Both Larry and Tracy, along with their facilitators, will watch the film with Edgewood College students and interested members of the community, then present their own insights and perspectives. As they are limited verbally, they use computers that translate for them.

Wisconsin, a hub of autism advocacy, will relish in this unique opportunity to challenge our own views and get an in-depth and personal understanding inside the mind of autism.
