Edgewood College names
Richard Keintz as interim CFO
Madison, Wis., Oct. 6 – Edgewood College today announced the
appointment of Richard J. Keintz as interim Vice President
for Business and Finance, starting October 18.
Announcing the appointment, President Daniel J. Carey said,
“I’m delighted that Dick Keintz has accepted this position
on our senior administrative team. His knowledge of Edgewood
College as a trustee, his experience in finance at CUNA
Mutual Group, his personal integrity – all contributed to
our decision.”
Keintz said, “Being on the board since 1990, I’ve witnessed
Edgewood College’s dramatic growth and have seen the strong
Dominican values it espouses. The opportunity to serve in a
different role and help the college achieve its mission is
very exciting to me.”
Dave Hanson, Chair of the
Board of Trustees and partner at Michael Best &
Friedrich, added, “Dick has been a long-time friend of
Edgewood and a committed board member. His willingness
to assume this position will be a real benefit to
Edgewood.”
Keintz brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to
the position. He has been a member of the Edgewood College
Board of Trustees and Finance Committee since 1990. He
worked at CUNA Mutual Group for 20 years, where he was Chief
Financial and Information Services Officer. He has served on
Catholic Charities’ Board of Directors and Finance
Committee. He has served as Wisconsin’s Deputy Commissioner
of Insurance, taught at the University of North Carolina,
and practiced at Touche Ross & Co. He received a Ph.D. in
Risk Management and Insurance from the UW-Madison, after
earning an M.S. in Finance and a B.S.B. in Accounting from
the University of Minnesota.
The
previous CFO, Daniel P. Klotzbach, left Edgewood College in
May 2004 to become Vice President for Business and Finance
at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington. Scott B.
Flanagan, Vice President for Planning and Enrollment, has
been the college’s acting CFO.
