Parents & Family
From Jan Zimmerman, Director of Health Services at Edgewood College:
(4/30/09) We continue to actively monitor reports of H1N1 flu. There are currently confirmed cases of H1N1 in a number of Wisconsin counties. Due to the inability to predict changes we encourage you to seek up-to-date information through the websites listed below.
At this time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that U.S. travelers avoid all nonessential travel to Mexico. Individuals planning international should visit http://www.cdc.gov/travel/ for updated information concerning their travel destination.
Officials from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Health Services advise that people who have traveled to areas where this outbreak is occurring should be alert for symptoms and if those symptoms develop within seven days of travel, to contact their health care provider by phone for information on treatment.
