Safety and Security
The Security Staff is responsible for the safety and security
of campus buildings and grounds. Security Officers patrol the
campus, monitor parking, provide escort service when requested,
and act as liaisons with local police and fire agencies.
To report a security or safety concern, leave a message for the
Director of Security at (608) 663-3285. To summon an
officer or report and emergency, call the Campus Assistance
Center at (608) 663-4444. Security can also be reached by
calling the cell phone at (608) 446-6092.

Education regulations for the Crime Awareness Act of 1990, click

Emergency Procedures Security: Definition
A situation when faculty, staff, or students are involved in
an incident involving disruptive, violent, or
threatening/stalking behavior, regardless of cause or behavior.
Also applies to thefts and acts of vandalism.
Procedure
1. Faculty, staff or student decisions should provide for
the best possible care, welfare, safety, and security of all
those involved.
2. No action should be taken which would place or create risk of
injury to any person.
3. Avoid becoming isolated or alone with the source of the
disturbance.
4. Dial 9-911 for the Madison Police or contact the CAMPUS
ASSISTANCE CENTER for help at extension 4444. When in doubt
about the situation, always call 9-911.
Remember
Use common sense and never take risks that may endanger
yourself or others.

Important Note
All College phones are "campus phones" except pay phones. To
call the 911 Center from a campus phone, you must dial 9-911.
From pay phones, dial 911. Coins are not needed for 911 calls.
