Paige Polzer

Hey, my name is Paige Polzer and I will be an R.A. in Regina on 2nd floor (long hall) for the 2009-2010 school year. I am very excited to be an R.A. and cannot wait to meet everyone!

I am majoring in Political Science and would like to minor in Spanish. I work at the Technology Assistant Center on campus and will be working there this summer as well. I am also Resident Life Representative for Student Government and Vice President of Resident Life Advisory Board.

I went to high school at Monona Grove and am from Cottage Grove (about 15 minutes away from Edgewood.) I would like to go to law school and public defend for juveniles and if that does not work out I would like to work with kids at a youth facility.

I will be an R.A., along with three others for the building of Regina. Regina is the only all girls dorm on campus, but everyone has their own room. There are computer labs, a lounge, kitchen, and washer/dryer on each floor. Also, something exciting is that Regina is getting new furniture and the walls painted for each lounge. My role in these two buildings will be to create community among the residents and to act as a resource for any questions, concerns or issues that the residents have.

As an R.A. in Regina I will help those students who are transitioning from high school into a college life, be a mentor, and help each resident hopefully grow as a person. I would like as an R.A. to help create not only a place to live, but a second home for all residents where they feel safe and at ease. I want all residents to have fun!
