Resource Center
The
purpose of the Student Resource Center (SRC) is to provide students with
academic, personal and career support services that promote student
success. Highlights of the resources available to you in the SRC
include:
- Tutoring in selected undergraduate introductory-level class.
- Walk-in tutoring at selected times for writing (in 206 DeRicci)
and mathematics (408 Sonderegger)
- Study skills support for improving time management, personal
organization skills, test-taking and college reading techniques.
- Services for students with disabilities.
- Academic planning for new students to Edgewood College who are
still deciding on a major area of study.
- Personal counseling to assist students with concerns such as
stress, depression, anxiety, adjusting to college life, disordered
eating, sexual assault, grief and loss, and alcohol/drug abuse.
Counseling services are free and confidential.
- Career Services including exploring career paths that link to
majors, individual career counseling, resume writing, job search
assistance, and information about graduate school.
Material resources available to you in the SRC include:
- Academic Resources such as Major degree checklists, the
Major/Minor Academic Planning (MAP) worksheet, class scheduling
worksheets and the Student Progress Checklist
- Career planning resources including resume guides, employment
listings, GRE and LSAT resources, handouts that link careers to Majors
and a large selection of books for checkout on a variety of career and
counseling related topics.
- A writing lab with computer access and writing resources for
students.
- A study tip of the week in 206 DeRicci and 408 Sonderegger.
Our services are available to all current and incoming Edgewood
students. Please stop in anytime to browse or call for an
appointment at 663-2281.
Please note - Learning Support Services also has a satellite office
in 408 Sonderegger, where many tutoring and study skills resources are
available.
