Adjunct Instructor – Human Resources Management K-12

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty in the Doctoral Program with an expertise in human resource management and budget/finance in K-12 settings. This adjunct faculty member is expected to teach one section of a 3-credit doctoral level course in human resource management in K-12 school settings, and is responsible for all logistical aspects in regard to their individual courses in the Edgewood College Doctoral Program. Focus will be given to providing direct, regular, and ongoing communication with the doctoral faculty and leadership. All courses in the K-12 leadership program are taught in a blended format.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Organize, coordinate, instruct, assess, and report on student progress in their doctoral course
  2. Work collaboratively with the program leadership and faculty on course syllabus
  3. Participate in faculty professional development
  4. Facilitate regular meetings with students in need of direction
  5. Communicate student concerns and needs to program leadership
  6. Attendance in Doctoral Faculty Meetings is highly encouraged

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

  • Earned Doctorate in Education, preferably in Educational Leadership
  • Experience in designing and teaching graduate courses at the doctoral level
  • Experience working in human resource management and/or business management in K-12 school settings

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Commitment, energy, and capacity to successfully manage multiple tasks
  2. Superior time management and organizational skills; extreme attention to detail
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills
  4. Proficiency in online instruction
