The Department of Mathematics at Edgewood College invites applications for an adjunct instructor in mathematics for the 2018 summer semester.
We seek a colleague who will teach a 3-credit course in Research and Practice – Arithmetic, a course designed for post-baccalaureate students pursuing licensure at the Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence level. The course explores arithmetic, algebra, and data analysis at the Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence level as defined in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics; best practices and methodologies for teaching this content; and relevant research in teaching and learning mathematics.
Research and Practice – Arithmetic meets twice a week for two-hour meetings in the summer session of 2018.
