Dominican Life Administrative Assistant/COR Administrative Coordinator


Edgewood College is seeking a Dominican Life Administrative Assistant/COR Administrative Coordinator. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) for 11 months, with two separate areas of responsibility.


COR Administrative Coordinator

Through familiarity with related programs and initiatives, the Administrative Coordinator provides fundamental administrative support to the COR General Education Program and reception for the School of Integrative Studies.  Within the COR General Education Program, the incumbent manages work flow in the office; assists and supports students, faculty, and staff related to all levels of the COR Program; and works closely with the Associate Director to manage curricular offerings and facilitate community engagement aspects. She or he also coordinates internal and external communication around recurring collaborative processes (e.g. timetable, peer leader hiring, and events); documents expenditures; and maintains information related to budget.

Dominican Life Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Dominican Life office in the Division of Dominican Life and Mission. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to maintaining Dominican Life office records and supplies; desktop publishing of worship aids and reflection booklets; internal calendar posting and marketing for DL programming and services; creating meeting minutes; supervising work study students.

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Publisher or Adobe. 
  • Associate's degree, preferably in Administration or Office Management, though Marketing may be considered as well.
  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing software such as InDesign desirable but not required.

  • Basic office skills (word processing, data entry, file management, use of office equipment)
  • Management skills (organizing, delegating, problem-solving, negotiating)
  • Ability to work independently but also collaboratively, as part of a team.
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions or shifting priorities
  • Experience with managing events and/or group travel arrangements is preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with Scripture and Catholic worship is helpful.
