The Edgewood College Undergraduate Admissions Office seeks an individual to assist with efforts to initiate and develop relationships with an increased number of prospective student leads and inquiries. The staff member will be responsible for outreach to high school sophomores and juniors to establish and maintain relationships as well as create interest in Edgewood College.
This is a 10-week summer position with a flexible start date, ideally beginning in June. The position will end mid-August. The individual in this role will be required to make at least 30 calls per hour. The work day hours will be from 11am-6pm, Monday-Thursday. Hours and work days can be flexible as long as approved by supervisor.
The primary job duty will be to make outbound calls to prospective student leads –with the goal of creating awareness about Edgewood College.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be comfortable speaking over the phone to students and families. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate the awareness, knowledge, and skills in fostering an inclusive campus climate, along with the ability to communicate within and about such an environment. Additionally, we seek a candidate who is charismatic, has a good sense of humor and is looking forward to working in a fun and friendly environment.
