Post Baccalaureate Accounting

Our program is designed for anyone with a baccalaureate degree who wishes to complete the coursework for a second degree in accounting. It also allows for easy transition into our Master of Science in Accounting program.

Degree Requirements

The Post-Baccalaureate bachelor's degree in accounting is designed for students wishing to pursue a second bachelor's degree in accounting.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for the 2023-2024 year is $1094 per credit for 11 or fewer credits per term.  The total cost of completing your degree will depend on any transfer credits you may have from other institutions and how many credits you take per semester.

Admission Requirements

New students may enroll in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. Application deadlines:
          Fall - August 1
          Spring - January 1
          Summer - May 1

To be considered for admission, applicants must provide the following:

  1. Completed application. This application is for students who want to pursue a Master’s degree, certificate, or take courses as a non-degree seeking student. The graduate application fee is waived for graduates of Edgewood College and for veterans.
  2. Official transcripts reflecting completion of a baccalaureate from a United States regionally accredited or equivalent post-secondary institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The cumulative grade point average is computed on the highest degree held at the time of application.

Career Outcomes

Whether you’re pursuing a career in the public, private, or not-for-profit sector, you’ll have the educational training, the work experiences and the networking opportunities to succeed.  Our curriculum provides a deep understanding of the complex and dynamic world of accounting, preparing you for careers in public accounting in audit and tax, private accounting, governmental and not-for-profit accounting. 

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics cites excellent employment opportunities with high mean wages for those with a degree in accounting.  Accounting, Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Services professionals all can earn as much as $40 per hour (or $83,700 per year), on average.
