Associate Degree in Nursing-Master of Science in Nursing Pathway (ADN-MSN)

If you already have an associate degree in nursing and wish to advance your career, this program is just what you’ve been looking for. Our ADN to MSN program allows you to complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing in as little as 21 months while integrating 12 credits of MSN coursework into your curriculum. Upon completion students can earn their MSN in as few as 18 additional credits.

Six MSN Concentrations

At time of admission into the ADN to MSN program, students who wish to continue with their MSN will be able to choose from six concentrations:

  • Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Adult Gerontology
  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • MSN Comprehensive
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Our curriculum is based on the same Dominican values as our traditional and accelerated undergraduate baccalaureate nursing programs. Students will learn the art and science of professional nursing.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for any of the student classifications except non-degree must meet all of the requirements for admission. 

Applicants seeking admission to School of Nursing ADN-MSN program must meet the following requirements:*

  1. Earned ADN from a nursing program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.25 on a 4.0 scale for regular admission status. Students enrolled in their final semester of an ADN program meeting academic requirements may also apply for admission.
  2. Hold current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse. Students recently completing or enrolled in their final semester of an ADN program who have yet to sit for their licensing exam may also apply for admission; an unencumbered Registered Nurse license is required prior to beginning NRS 460/461 courses.
  3. Complete and submit an application to Edgewood College at https://www.edgewood.edu/apply/undergraduate
  4. Request official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate academic credits received from any post-secondary institutions be sent directly to Edgewood College.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Cost per credit for ADN courses is $289. If general education courses are necessary to meet 120 credits or core curriculum requirements, they can be completed at a cost per credit of $289. Financial Aid Eligible: complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and use Edgewood College Federal School Code: 003848.
