Conditional Admission Program
Some students who do not meet the criteria to be directly admitted to Edgewood College may be invited to apply for conditional admission. The goal of our conditional admission program is to provide support to students who do not directly meet the admissions criteria for Edgewood College, but demonstrate the potential for academic success.
The program offers the participants support in making a successful transition to college. Conditionally admitted students may be asked to fulfill a number of requirements during their first year. Most conditionally admitted students will meet regularly with an Edgewood College mentor, participate in a bridge program prior to orientation, take a learning strategies and college transition course during their first year, enroll in developmental math and writing courses (if needed) and maintain an overall cumulative 2.0 GPA.
If you have been invited to apply for condition admission to Edgewood College, please submit the following materials by the deadline indicated in your invitation letter.
- The Conditional Admission Supplemental Application Form
- Two (2) Conditional Admission Program Recommendation Forms; these recommendations should be completed by a teacher or guidance counselor who is familiar with your academic work. If you are a military veteran recommendations should be completed by people who can speak about your academic ability and willingness to learn.
- 7th semester transcripts; feel free to submit the Transcript Request Form directly to your Guidance Office.
