Some students who do not meet the criteria to be directly admitted to Edgewood College may be invited to apply for conditional admission. The goal of our conditional admission program is to provide support to first-year students who do not directly meet the admissions criteria for Edgewood College, but demonstrate the potential for academic success.
The program offers the participants support in making a successful transition from high school to college. Conditionally admitted students may be asked to fulfill a number of requirements during their first year. Most conditionally admitted students will meet regularly with an Edgewood College mentor, participate in a bridge program prior to orientation, take a learning strategies and college transition course during their first year, enroll in developmental math and writing courses (if needed) and maintain an overall cumulative 2.0 GPA.
Given the limited amount of space in the program, it is in a student’s best interest to submit the supplemental application materials as soon as possible. If a student’s grades and scores improve during the 7th or 8th semesters of the senior year, he or she will be reconsidered for direct admission to Edgewood College.
If you have been invited to apply for condition admission to Edgewood College, please submit the following materials by the deadline indicated in your invitation letter.
Please consult the letter you received for deadline information. Documents may be sent by fax to (608) 663-2214.
If you have questions about conditional admission, please feel free to contact the Admissions Office at (608) 663-2294 or (800) 444-4861 ext. 2294.
