On behalf of Edgewood College, in partnership with The College Station, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Madison Alumni Chapter, and the Urban League of Greater Madison, we cordially invite high school students and their families to participate in the 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Readiness & Success Summit. 

Get a jump start on college planning by registering for this educational summit in honor and celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy and advocacy for equal opportunity for all. The 2nd annual Dr. MLK College Planning & Success Summit is designed to help students navigate the college admissions and financial aid process. High school students of color, first-generation students, and parents are encouraged to attend.

Sneak Peek Saturday

Sneak Peek Saturdays are a great way for prospective first-time freshmen to get acquainted with campus and learn more about what Edgewood College has to offer. The day includes a tour of campus followed by an informative presentation and Q & A session with an admissions counselor. There are many dates throughout the year to pick from. Check-in begins at 9:45 a.m.

TOUR DETAILS

Campus tours take approximately 1 hour. The walking tour will be led by a Student Ambassador - a representative of the admissions office and current Edgewood College student trained to provide information about campus to visiting students and families. The tour includes a visit to the academic buildings, the library, the gym and two underclassmen residence halls.

TOUR TIMES

Campus tours and meetings with admissions counselors are available Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

SPECIAL RESIDENCE HALL TOURS

On Mondays at 2:15 p.m. and Fridays at 10:15 a.m. between February and May, a special 45-minute residence hall tour will be available for visitors. The walking tour will also be led by a Student Ambassador and will showcase all of the residence hall buildings open to underclassmen. In addition to visiting several residence hall rooms, the tour will also include helpful information about life on campus.

Group Visits

(for groups larger than 10 visitors) We welcome groups from schools, community centers and college preparatory programs with students in grades 8-12. Group visits are available Tuesday through Thursday between the hours of 9am and 3pm. All visit requests must be made at least one month in advance of the desired visit date.
