Blackboard Training for New Faculty on Friday, January 11 beginning at 9:00 am (Lib P & P)
Class will begin at 9:00. Please arrive by 8:50 so that the session may begin on time.
This 2 hour training (with a break) is designed for Faculty who have been on campus for no more than two semesters.
Faculty will learn how to set-up a Blackboard course site using content areas, grade center, and interactive tools, and how to send an email and post announcements to manage a site.
Objectives: Create content with discussion around the types and uses of content areas, folders and Mashups (Flickr, YouTube). Understand how to use Ally. Create assessments for assignments (drop box) including SafeAssign. Set-up the Grade Center, which includes creating assessment columns, weighted/total points columns, attendance column and managing the Grade Center tools such as views, color of cells based upon grade criteria and reports.
