Create Music Lab

8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Age: Completing Grades 6-8
Tuition: $315

This is a week-long camp experience in which middle school students are invited to collaborate with peers to explore composition, harmony and project-based musical work. This camp offers students leadership and mentorship opportunities within the context of creating music. A core component of this camp is the mentorship lab which encourages High School Musicians who are interested in Music Education to mentor younger students.

Create Lab
Student-led project work indoors and outdoors, where students have the opportunity to create music independently and as a group.
Harmonizing Lab
Students will experiment with harmonization and chords through the study of acoustic guitar.
Mentor Lab
Students will have the opportunity to work with High School mentors who will help them develop their performance skills.
Performance, Improv Lab
Students will have the opportunity to perform and improvise music, share ideas and give feedback on their creations. (Singing, Presentations, Performances)
End of the week performance
Talk and present a student-created concert portfolio for parents and friends of the week’s work.
