The verses imply that there are steps one has to follow to get what one needs. However, this process cannot be done alone. First you must ask for help, whether that be from someone you know or a stranger. Then you must take the next step in finding what it is you are looking for. This may get frustrating, but one cannot give up. Once that is realized, you will need to be persistent with getting what you seek. This is applicable in today’s society when we need each other even more. One needs to realize that life is a journey. We may not always know what it is we are seeking or where we will find it, but if we count on each other and our faith God will always answer the door and give us what we need.

My mentors and advisors have been helpful in managing my success. Last summer I did scientific research in Boston for the Novartis Scientific Summer Scholar Program. They select top-tier students from around the world, and I was one of the lucky
people selected.
